Our Pastor...

Dr. Gilbert M. Zendejas
Senior Pastor

It has been my distinct privilege and honor to have led this flock for the last four years.
Pastorpond
During this time, I've learned so much. Having served under three ministers in an assistant pastor role, I figured, 'how different could it actually be to step up?' In retrospect, what a foolish thought. It's not about the preaching, the teaching or even the studying. It's about the fact that God entrusts you with His own children. The call to lead, feed and protect the sheep is a tremendous one, full of joys, as well as, challenges. I'm a firm believer that when God says that He hates the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, (in Revelation, chapter 2), it's important for us to understand why.
PastorOutreach
Through study, it is apparent that the nature of the Nicolaitans was a domineering, controlling and legalistic style of leadership, essentially placing the flock back under the very bondage from which they were delivered. God has called us to servant-leadership and this is a value I hold in great significance.

With the authority that God has entrusted to us ministers, comes an equally great responsibility to provide the similar leadership that Jesus exampled for us. Truth is, we're all the same. No calling or gifting changes that fact that the saints are all God's children and we are but their caretakers, responsible to their Father for their upbringing and care.
